William Emil Skrivanek (Bill)
Feb. 2, 1942 – Jan. 26, 2019
William (Bill) Skrivanek, Sr. went to be with our Heavenly Father on Jan. 26, 2019 at age 76 years, 11 months and 23 days. He was born Feb. 3, 1942 in Houston, Texas to Emil (E.W.) and Pauline Skrivanek. Bill was one of five children. He had two half-brothers, Earnest Alfred and Alvin Roy Gregurek and sister Vera Mae Skrivanek Wilson and brother, Michael Joe Skrivanek.
He graduated from Cy-Fair High School and attended college at Sam Houston State University and the University of Houston.
William worked in the steel industry, primarily with Cameron Iron Works (later became Cooper/Wyman-Gordon), as a Quality Control Inspector. He retired in 2007.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Emil (E. W.) and Pauline Gajdosik Skrivanek, his brothers, Earnest Alfred Gregurek, Alvin Roy Gregurek and his sister, Vera Mae Skrivanek Wilson.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Gaye Nell Jones Skrivanek; his sons, William Skrivanek Jr., Michael Wayne Skrivanek and wife, Kelly, and Paul Skrivanek and wife, Michelle; granddaughters, Taylor Skrivanek Magnesio and husband Joey, Savannah Skrivanek and Samantha Skrivanek; his brother Michael Joe Skrivanek, brother-in-law Carl Jones and wife, Betty and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
A visitation with the family was held on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Knesek Bros. Highway 36 Chapel located at 1140 Meyer St., Sealy, TX. Funeral service was held Friday, Feb. 1, 2019 at 12 noon at the Knesek Bros. Highway 36 Chapel. Interment followed at Field Store Cemetery in Waller, Texas.
