William (Bill) Lacey Hogan, 60, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Victoria, TX to Owen and Ella Hogan on June 14, 1958. He was a fierce lover of Jesus, family, motorcycles and old cars. Anyone he met could see that he lived and loved life. He was an avid protector of the people and things he held dear to his heart. He called himself a “dumb truck driver”, but everyone that knew him realized that driving was his true passion. He loved a good and spontaneous adventure.
Whether it be hopping on the bike to take a day trip for lunch or a cross country haul, he was always up for the ride. He was quick with a smile and never met a stranger. He is preceded in death by his parents Owen and Ella Hogan, wife Marie Drymalla Hogan, four brothers, Owen Hogan Jr., Virgil Hogan, Donald Hogan, Dale Hogan and two half-sisters, Mildred Strickland and Dorothy Hobbs. He is survived by wife Donna Hogan, daughters Jayme Allen and husband Jon, Elizabeth Hogan Denard, Tara Ward and husband Josh, and Lacey Hogan, sons Jason Weghorst and Justin Moyer. Grandchildren, Edward Townsend, Owen Hogan and wife Taylor, Angelica and Chloe Allen, Victoria Hogan, Zachary and Emily Denard, Hayleigh Ward, Kylie Patrick, grand dogs Louie and Ruffus, sisters Lynda Hennessey and Mona Freeze and husband Ben and a whole host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gury Doshi for all her compassion, support and care she provided to Bill. In lieu of flowers please make donations to a charity of your choice or CASA for kids of Southeast Texas. Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, at 10 a.m. at The Fellowship, 22765 Westheimer Parkway, Katy, TX 77450.
