Sealy welding students enjoy presentation and prizes

Posted

Sealy High School students enrolled in agricultural science and welding enjoyed a presentation put on by industry leaders to help them not only in the classroom but in life as well.

“Your journey to becoming a skilled welder,” was presented by the Houston section of the American Welding Society at the Greer & Lowdermilk Conference Center and that’s not all that was there.

The barbecue dinner held them over before prizes were filtered in and the boys from Sealy didn’t go away empty-handed or empty-stomached.

Two grinders worth $400 and a pair of welding masks worth $90 were their rewards for attending and were put right to use.

Not only that, but the advice and insight provided will also stick with the students and should help them on their road to possibly becoming a very skilled welder.
