Vivian Joyce Hartwick Reinicke, 78, of Bellville, Texas, passed away Wednesday Jan. 29, 2020.
She was born on Jan. 30, 1941 to Leslie and Evelyn Franks in southeast Missouri. Joyce grew up loving to play baseball, going fishing, and hunting. Joyce was united in marriage to Royce Raymond Hartwick on Oct. 3, 1956. Career opportunities for Royce brought them to Texas in 1980 where she pursued many hobbies such as ceramics, cake decorating, gardening and fishing. Through the years, Joyce loved staying busy by taking care of her family, cooking, baking, playing games and shopping.
In 2003, Joyce married Jimmie George Reinicke in Sealy on June 14t and they made their home in Bellville. For the past 17 years, they have enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, antique shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Jimmie Reinicke of Bellville; children Vicky Lopez and her husband Vincent, and Dennis Hartwick, both of Cat Spring; grandchildren Stephanie Reed and her husband Chip of Sealy, Joshua Hartwick of Sarita, Adam Lopez of Sealy, Sarah Hartwick of Sealy, Natalie Hartwick of Corpus Christi, Marissa Moncada of Brenham, Eric, Dane, and Savannah Moncada all of Cat Spring; great-grandchildren Samantha and Alivia Reed of Sealy, Bradyn Perez of Brenham, and Scarlett Moncada of Cypress; sister Beverly Scogin and her husband Joe of Cat Spring, and nieces, nephews, and other dear family members and friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Evelyn Franks; husband of 43 years, Royce “Blue” Hartwick, and brother Donnie Franks.
A funeral service was held on Sunday Feb. 2, 2020, at Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Sealy with Brother Ray Mellard officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel 768 Fourth St., Sealy, TX 77474.
