Posted

Sedonia Gajewski, 83, of Brenham, Texas went to be with our Heavenly Father on Dec. 17, 2018. Sedonia was born in Frydek, Texas, the daughter of Mary and Henry Kucera. She grew up listening to polka music which led her to a dance in Fayetteville where she met the love of her life, Alois Gajewski. She married Alois on Aug. 18, 1952. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a stay at home mom in the early years of their marriage. Sedonia was an amazing woman, and although Sedonia was legally blind, she would sew dresses for her daughters and for their Barbie dolls. Later she helped manage a small convenience store in Pattison, Texas and then afterwards worked with her husband in his electrical business.

She was his right-hand helper. She loved making kolaches, strudel and cooking for her family, the church and fire department functions. She was also an awesome noodle maker. She loved being outdoors working in the flowerbeds and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Alois, daughter Diana Hold of Kenney, son Patrick and wife Vanessa of Houston, son Dwayne and wife Mary of Brenham and daughter Debbie Jez and husband Patrick of Frydek. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary & Henry Kucera, brothers Gene and Butch Kucera and son in-law Wayne Hold.
