Sealy Elementary pupils learn fire safety

In honor of Fire Prevention Month, Sealy Fire Chief Kenny Willingham gave a presentation to Sealy Elementary students last Wednesday afternoon as part of Fire Prevention Week.

The talk covered the basics on how often smoke detector batteries should be changed and tested, what to do in case of a fire where you can’t get out of your room, as well as developing a meet-up plan with parents and the rest of the family.

Visual aids complemented the lessons given by Willingham before questions were taken and a couple of demonstrations were made on what to do if clothes catch on fire; stop, drop and roll.
