On April 4, qualifying junior high students went on the annual Reading Reward Field Trip. Once again students got to start the day with a Starbucks run before heading to the Children’s Museum for a couple of hours of “playing like a kid again.” They donned lab coats for science experiments, dammed and re-dammed water channels for boats, sped Lego cars down the test track and flew paper airplanes in the launching zone. They had lunch at the Houston Waterwall. The last stop on the way home was Katy Mills Mall for a trip to the bookstore and an ice cream cone. The following students qualified for the 2018 trip. The top reader will be announced at the Junior High Awards on May 9.
