World Wednesdays at Double E Grocery Ermis Encore began June 13 featuring Mexico. They continue throughout the month with Italy on June 20 and South Asia – Thailand and Vietnam on June 27. Future Wednesday themes will be determined by customer suggestions.
Healing in the House

Hoff Family Reunion
The annual Hoff family reunion will be Sunday, June 24, at the home of Art and Debbie Wammel, 1748 Highway 159 West, Bellville. A potluck meal begins at 12:30 p.m. Please bring enough for your family and some to share and bring a dessert for after the meal and for the cake walk. June Music Fest
Sealy KC June Music Fest, starting with a fried chicken dinner at 11 a.m. June 24, followed by music provided by Charles and the Fabulous Four from 1 to 5 p.m. Homemade desserts will be available inside the hall. Barbecue sandwiches will be served after 2 p.m. Dancing and visiting with friends will be offered at the Sealy KC Hall, 1310 Highway 90 West.
Summer Reading Program
Readers of all ages will explore all things musical this summer as Gordon Memorial Library presents “Libraries Rock” during their summer library program. Activities may include craft creation, group games, musical crafts and more. The 2018 Summer Reading Program is open to young people, preschool through sixth grade with programs, prize drawings, story times, and more. Families are invited to join the Read-to-Me portion of the program. (Include your summer calendar here.) Every child has a chance … It’s you! Become a CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocate) and speak up for children in the foster care system. Texas German Society
Americans of German descent constitute the largest ethnic group in the United States with more than 58 million Americans proudly proclaiming their German heritage. Austin County and the surrounding areas contain a large number of inhabitants with German backgrounds. The Bluebonnet Chapter of Texas German Society strives to preserve and promote the German language, culture and traditions. This group meets bi-monthly at the Hill Center in Sealy.
