Head Start enrolling

Early Head Start is now enrolling children ages 3-5 years for the coming year. Located at 1436 Eagle Lake Road in Sealy, Head start is for low income families, children with disabilities, foster children, children in care of Child Protective Services, homeless children, and for families on TANF or SSI. Chicken fried chicken

The Sealy Knights of Columbus will hold a chicken fried chicken breast dinner on Friday, Sept. 11, at the KC Hall, 1390 Hwy. 90 West, Sealy. Serving from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for pick up.

Pork steak dinner

The New Ulm Volunteer Fire Department is holding a drive-thru pork steak dinner on Sunday, Sept. 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire station on Walnut Street in New Ulm. A raffle that had been postponed from April will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are available from any department member or at Industry State Bank, New Ulm Branch, at 979-992-3391.

Golf tournament and ball drop

The Sealy Chamber of Commerce will hold a ball drop at its annual golf tournament on Sept. 24. Anyone can enter for a chance to win $250, $100 or a $50 gift certificate at a Sealy Chamber member restaurant. Shrimp boil

The Sealy Athletic Booster Club is holding a drive-thru shrimp dinner on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 4-6 p.m. at the football stadium. Tickets are sold in advance from booster club members.
