Texas Theatre building owner Jeff Trevino is looking for color photos of the building when it was lit with neon lights. He is in the process of making the lights operational again to make sure the color scheme is accurate. Trevino can be reached at 713-829-2140.

Barbecue chicken dinner

Friends of the Sealy American Legion will hold a barbecue chicken dinner on Sunday, Oct.18, at Sealy American Legion Hall from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Drive-thru only.

Shrimp boil

The Sealy Athletic Booster Club is holding a drive-thru shrimp dinner on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 4-6 p.m. at the football stadium. Tickets are sold in advance from booster club members.

Sealy KC's fish fry dinner

The Sealy Knights of Columbus will hold a fish fry drive-thru dinner on Friday, Oct. 23, at the Sealy Columbus Club (KC) Hall at 1310 Hwy 90 West, Sealy, serving from 5:30-7:30 p.m.  

Arts and craft show

Wallis American Legion Post 200 will hold its 15th annual Arts and Craft Show on Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the post at 330 Legion Road, Wallis. For more information, call 281-743-3678 or email jgiese3866@aol.com.

Headstone cleaning

The Sealy Area Historical Society is sponsoring a day for cleaning head stones at the Sealy Cemetery on Oct. 24, beginning at 10 a.m. at the main cemetery entrance on Main Street. To participate, contact Nancy Naron at 832-492-4244 or at nnaron@gmail.com.

Harvest festival

Sealy First United Methodist Church is holding its Harvest Festival meal and online auction on Sunday, Oct. 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The turkey meal with all the trimmings is available drive-thru only and tickets are sold in advance. Cooking Well with Diabetes

A County Cooking Well with Diabetes class from the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Austin, Colorado, Fayette and Washington counties is being offered Oct. 26, Nov. 2, Nov. 9 and Nov. 16. Caregivers of type 2 diabetes individuals are also encouraged to participate. The primary goal is to help participants learn how to manage their meal plan by understanding carbohydrates, healthy substitutions, and tips to increase fiber and lower sodium levels.

Halloween on Main

Sealy Main Street will hold Halloween on Main as a drive-thru event on Oct. 31 from 3-5 p.m. Vehicles will line up at B&PW Park and slowly parade down Main Street where socially distanced vendors will provide Halloween treats.
