Dear Editor,
The measure of a true community comes in how it comes together to help those in need.
On behalf of the Rotary Club of Sealy, I had the opportunity to visit the congregation at Bethel Baptist Church this past Sunday. There was great music, fellowship and a heartfelt appreciation of spirit that transpired into their gracious members presenting Rotary with a donation for our international project in Mexico: the Guerrero Eye Clinic
I was welcomed with open arms and a warm smile by everyone and the experience solidifies my feelings that even though I have only lived in Sealy for a few months, I feel blessed to be living among some of the greatest and caring people I have ever met.
I would encourage everyone to visit Bethel Baptist Church for a Sunday service and to join your local Rotarians at lunch, each Thursday at noon. We meet at Ermis’ Double E Grocery.
Thanks for making Sealy a great place to live, work, and worship.
