Group ‘joins hands’ for veterans

Due to an inclement weather forecast, the Join Hands project at the Sealy Cemetery was rescheduled for May 19. Small U.S. flags were placed on the graves of veterans at the Sealy Cemetery, Immaculate Conception Cemetery, San Felipe Cemeteries, Hartsville, and Holy Cross Cemeteries. Representing the five fraternal organizations participating in this project were, in front row, Haley Martinez, Patrick Martinez, Brooklyn Reyes, Fernando Mora and Joshua Galvan (from the Wallis area). In back are Rick Martinez (SPJST), Gene Leschper (Hermann Sons), Ivy Konvicka (KJT), Leon Konvicka (KJT, KC), Johnnie and Melvin Klatt (Hermann Sons), Donald Karl (Boy Scout Troop 990), Mikie & Burk Ehret (Woodmen) and Bennie Stolarski (KC, KJT, SPJST, Woodmen). Others participating but not pictured were Caleb Kruzel (Hermann Sons), Barbara Brandes and Tom Knapp (Woodmen) and Bernice Stolarski (KJT, SPJST, Woodmen).
