Don’t forget Thanksgiving


Dear Editor,

I just answered the poll question for the Thanksgiving plans.

People go from celebrating Halloween to planning for Christmas. Thanksgiving is now the day before Black Friday or even the first shopping day. This is just another work day.

The first Thanksgiving was celebrated in 1621. People of different cultures were together. This was the first American holiday, even before July fourth.

It seems Cinco de Mayo gets more attention than Thanksgiving. We need to make a point to give this holiday it's proper respect.
