A stretch of Highway 36 in Fort Bend County was temporarily closed Sunday evening after a five-vehicle accident killed two people.
A Life Flight helicopter responded and the two victims were reportedly pronounced dead on arrival, according to Caitilin Espinosa, a public information officer with Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office. A third victim was hospitalized with minor injuries. The victims were identified as Arnaldo Ortiz and Robert King.
The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. near Long Lane, according to reports from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.
