BRENHAM, Texas – Brenham Clinic announced last week the appointment of Melissa Mccune to administrator.
Mccune spent the last year as assistant administrator of the Brenham Clinic and transitioned into the Administrator role in November 2017.
“I am privileged to work with exceptional physicians, nurses, and health care support staff,” she said. “The Brenham Clinic is our community’s most established healthcare resource and has been providing high quality care to this area for over 60 years. I am looking forward to continuing the tradition of quality and excellence while using creative and innovative methods for increasing and improving our health care delivery to our community.”
Mccune has more than 30 years of health-related experience. She was previously executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County, Texas, and prior to that executive director of the American Red Cross – Greater Houston Chapter. Melissa has a bachelor of science degree in public health education and a master of science degree in educational human resource development, both from Texas A&M University.
Mccune’s passion is to serve her community. She is a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church in town and has served in various leadership capacities including: Washington County Chamber of Commerce Blue Blazers and Leadership Alumni Association, Brenham Gun & Rod Club Board of Directors, Goodfellows of Washington County and United Way of Washington County, Thrivent Financial, Brenham State Supported Living Volunteer Services Council and the Junior Achievement Program at Krause Elementary. She is a charter member of the Rotary Club of Washington County and serves on the Brenham Economic Development Foundation.
