Bras for a Cause, Boo Bash returning in October

Posted

The Sealy News is gearing up for two annual events in October.
First up is the fifth annual Bras for a Cause fundraiser benefiting The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Breast Care with Memorial Hermann-Katy. It will take place at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at Saddleback Saloon in downtown Sealy.
Volunteers decorate and donate bras which are then auctioned off while being modeled by local male celebrities. Past models have included Sealy Assistant Manager Warren Escovy, Austin County Judge Tim Lapham, Wallis Mayor Steve Bockel, Judge Dan Leedy and Saddleback Saloon owner Tom Mendenhall.
Donated bras are now being accepted at The Sealy News, 193 Schmidt Road. For more information contact Karen Lopez at 979-885-3562 or publisher@sealynews.com.
