She and Ed traveled across the United States early in their marriage while Ed was an auditor for Texaco. In 1959, they welcomed their first son, Patrick, and built their home in Frydek. Patrick was joined by his brother Mark two years later. Their family was complete several years later when their daughter Melissa was born.

Through the years, Bea and Ed continued to travel even after they settled to raise their family. They traveled across the US on family vacations and even learned to ski in their 60s. Bea also enjoyed visiting the Czech Republic and traveled there four times. During her trips, she was able to visit her father’s birth home and get to know several family members.
One of Bea’s greatest joys were her grandchildren. She and Ed would spend any free time they could with them and visited them often.
