Clay Roberts, Ivan Bolden, A.J. McGee and Reece Novicke were all honored with all-district nods for their seasons and contributions from the basketball court.
Roberts grabbed a spot on the first team while Bolden locked down a second-team slot.
McGee and Novicke were both honorably mentioned with the latter of those two being the only one on this list that’s not going to walk across the graduation stage at the end of this school year.
The senior trio all added on top of all-district honors for their football seasons as well, closing out their careers in black and gold with an even longer laundry list of accomplishments.
Roberts has already hit the diamond and Bolden has already gotten his feet wet, or sandy, on the track while Novicke hit the links for his spring season.
The Tigers ended with a 16-9 overall record on the basketball court, turning around from a two-win season last year, improving the district record from 1-9 to 6-6 which earned them a play-in game against Wharton.
Although Sealy fell on a buzzer-beater, the Tigers of Wharton soon fell to the District 26 champion Navasota Rattlers in the first round of the playoffs.
