Austin County A&M Club to award scholarships

The Austin County A&M Club is currently accepting scholarship applications for the 2017-2018 school year.

The scholarships are to be awarded to outstanding students in Austin County who meet the admission requirements of Texas A&M University and the scholarship requirements and are selected by the Scholarship Committee. Applicants for this scholarship may be an entering freshman who will graduate or has graduated from an Austin County high school, a transfer student who graduated from an Austin County high school and is transferring to Texas A&M, or a student who graduated from an Austin County high school and is currently attending Texas A & M University.

Entering freshmen may apply for this scholarship by contacting their high school counselor or by e-mail at ACTAMUScholarship@gmail.com. Transfer students or students who are currently attending Texas A & M University may receive an application by requesting one through the e-mail ACTAMUScholarship@gmail.com or by visiting the Austin County A&M Club Facebook page.

Entering freshmen applications must include an official high school transcript, an official copy of SAT and/or ACT results, and a letter of recommendation from the student’s high school principal or counselor. Applications submitted by a transfer student or current Texas A&M student must include a copy of the student’s current transcript.

This application will also be used for the Joe E. Burttschell Memorial Scholarship and the A.C. and Aggie Machemehl Memorial Scholarship.

Applications must be submitted to the student’s high school counselor or the Scholarship Committee through e-mail ACTAMUScholarship@gmail.com no later than noon on Friday, April 6, 2018.
