Austin County students awarded A&M scholarship

Danielle Bersche, Mark Bonaccorso, Grace Demny, Rachel Faldyn, Faith Haugen, Hunter Havel, Meghan Hein, Canute Janish, Kennedy Jetelina, Andrew Jozwiak, Morgan Kaase, Conner Neumann, Noah Noska, Marcus Reichardt, Clayton Ribardo, and Carson Williamson were selected as scholarship recipients from the Austin County A&M Club.

Recipients were recognized at the Austin County A&M Club’s Annual Aggie Muster event on April 22. Each recipient is to be commended for his or her superb academic and extra-curricular achievements. The Scholarship Committee recently met and reviewed all of the applications that were submitted for the 2018-2019 school year.

Danielle Bersche is the daughter of Melissa and Kenneth Bersche and is a senior at Sealy High School. She plans to major in Biology. Her accomplishments include Student Council Parliamentarian, NHS Historian and Officer of Art Club.

Mark Bonaccorso is the son of Carol and Johnny Bonaccorso and is majoring in Public Health. His accomplishments include The Broad Street Society (Public Health Honor Society), Phi Eta Sigma, and Eagle Scout.

Grace Demny is the daughter of Janette and Brian Demny and is a senior at Brazos High School. She plans to major in Agriculture Communications and Journalism. Her accomplishments include NHS Parliamentarian, 4H President, and Student Council President.

Rachel Faldyn is the daughter of Deanna and Ronnie Faldyn and is a senior at Sealy High School. She plans to major in Kinesiology – Motor Behavior. Her accomplishments include Head Drum Major of Sealy Tiger Band, Varsity Tennis, and NHS.

Faith Haugen is the daughter of Robin and Jeff Haugen and is a senior at Sealy High School. She plans to major in Nursing. Her accomplishments include NHS, ranked 5th in her class, and All-District Award for volleyball for four years.

Hunter Havel is the son of Shanene and Chris Havel and is a senior at Sealy High School. He plans to major in Construction Science Management. His accomplishments include NHS, twenty–two dual credit college hours, and FFA.

Meghan Hein is the daughter of Leann and Ronnie Hein and is a senior at Sealy High School. She plans to major in Ag Communications and Ag Economics. Her accomplishments include Texas FFA Ford Leadership Scholar, Austin County Fair Ticket Queen and FFA President.

Canute Janish is the son of Dena and Kenneth Janish and a senior at Bellville High School. He plans to major in Agricultural Leadership and Development. His accomplishments include FFA National Parliamentarian High Point Test Score and Outstanding Secretary, FFA State Champion Greenhand Chapter Conducting, and FFA State Champion Tractor Tech Team.

Kennedy Jetelina is the daughter of Terri and Wayne Jetelina and a senior at Brazos High School. She plans to major in Business Administration. Her accomplishments include NHS President, MVP All-District volleyball player, and FFA Vice President.

Andrew Jozwiak is the son of Vicki and Robert Jozwiak and is a senior at Bellville High School. He plans to major in Physics. His accomplishments include Academic Excellence, Science Olympiad State Qualifier, and NHS.

Morgan Kaase is the daughter of Amy and Chris Kaase and is a senior at Bellville High School. She plans to major in Allied Health. Her accomplishments include Academic Excellence, Student Council Secretary and NHS.

Conner Neumann is the son of Scott Neumann and Natalie Jones and is majoring in Agricultural Economics. His accomplishments include Student Senate, Dean’s List, and Aggie REPs.

Noah Noska is the son of Angella and Heath Kemper and is a senior at Bellville High School. He plans to major in Applied Mathematical Science. His accomplishments include NHS, Academic Excellence and Section Leader in the band.

Marcus Reichardt is the son of Emma and Brian Reichardt and is a senior at Sealy High School. He plans to major in Electrical Engineering. His accomplishments include Texas Engineering Extension Cyber Camp, State Robotics Qualifier for two years, and Region and Area Band qualifier.

Clayton Ribardo is the son of Kay and Charlie Ribardo and is a senior at Sealy High School. He plans to major in Aerospace Engineering. His accomplishments are Eagle Scout, Valedictorian, and Texas Boys State.

Carson Williamson is the son of Jacqueline and James Williamson and is a senior at Bellville High School. He plans to major in Construction Science. His accomplishments include Student Council President, Academic Excellence and NHS.
