Strong senior season leads Holub to state meets The way that Brazos’ Nicholas Holub it, the hard work he put in during his years as a Cougar finally paid off this year. Holub qualified the state meets in track and cross country in his senior year at Brazos High School.

In two games, Jacie Kainer, Kimberlee Aguirre and Ava Carr had all the right stuff on for GSLL JRG Sealy All Stars, allowing zero runs and besting Bastrop LL JRG All Stars by a score of 32-0. GSLL JRG had 21 hits with two in the park home-runs, two triples and five doubles.

Shelby Cones has come full circle. The freshman recently volunteered to serve on the staff of the Blinn College District livestock judging camps that drew more than 250 youngsters from Texas and several other states.

The Sealy Junior Boys Little League All Stars came up just short at the Texas East Sectional Tournament as they fell to Lufkin Juniors 2023. Sealy Junior Boys LL All Stars’s effort to come back from down four runs in the third inning came up just short, as they fell 7-6 to Lufkin Juniors 2023 on Thursday .

Ava Carr threw a complete game shutout to lead Greater Sealy Little League (GSLL) JRG Sealy All Stars past Lee County JRGs All Stars with a final score of 17-0 on Saturday, June 24 in the championship game.

The Blinn College Esports Program will host its inaugural Esports Camp in June and July. Buccaneers head coach Aaron Kapiko and assistant coaches Kyle Murto and Ryan Lucich invite current high school and incoming college students to attend the two threeday camps, which will take place from 9 a.m.noon and 1 p.m.-5 p.m.

Ty Thomas and the 14th-ranked Blinn College men’s golf team made history this year at the NJCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship tournament. Competing amongst a field of 24 teams at the Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kan., the Buccaneers tied for eighth place overall in the fourday competition for their best finish in program history, while Thomas became Blinn’s first-ever All-American by tying for fifth individually.
