The Sealy Junior High Lady Tigers 7th Grade A Team played in the championship game of the playoff round last week and came up short to Bellville. The scores of the game last night were 16-25 and 17-25.
Brazos XC headed back to state

The Brazos Cougars cross country team competed in the 2022 UIL Region III Cross Country Meet on Tuesday in Huntsville at Kate Barr Ross Park. The varsity girls team finished third out of 23 teams to qualify for the state cross country meet.
Cougars roll to easy win over Danbury 42-0

Brazos came into Friday’s contest with Danbury needing a victory to keep its playoff hopes alive. For the Cougars, it was just another game on the schedule where the Brazos just needed to worry about Brazos and not anything else.
Faith shines at Haunted Wine Run

The Faith Academy Cross Country Team has one more meet to run on Nov. 19, the Nike Cross Regional (South) Meet. So until then to continue racing they ran Saturday, Oct. 29, in the Blue Mule Haunted Wine 5K Run. The race starts and finishes at the Winery, which is near Fayetteville and Warrenton. It is a paved 1 1/2 mi. route out and back.
Faith falls short to Centex 62-44

The Faith Academy Knights hosted their last regular season game as they welcomed the Centex Chargers to SAB Staduim Friday night. A few early mistakes ended up costing the Knights; mistakes that they couldn’t battle back from falling short 62-44. The Knights were led by sophomore Travis Woodley, as he continued his impressive play, battling through a season-long leg injury. He accumulated over 250 total yards and three TDs bringing his season total to 26.
Brazos to close out district at Boling

Coming into Friday’s contest with Danbury, Brazos knew it had to win to stay in the playoff talk out of District 14-3A. The Cougars took care of business with a 42-0 thrashing of Danbury but the Cougars couldn’t help but peak at the scoreboard in East Bernard right down the road.
Sealy needs to continue streak

In years of old, the Sealy-Sweeny matchup would be a game that many would earmark as a top game of the week. But the Bulldogs have fallen on hard times this season and have suffered through a 1-7 overall record and stand winless in District 10-4A.

After last Friday’s loss to Needville, the Sealy Tigers are currently tied with Needville for third place in District 25-4A and will have a playoff game with the Lady Blue Jays to determine third place in the playoff standings.
