The Sealy girl’s softball all-stars took center stage in the community with their run to the Softball World Series to begin the second half of sports in Austin County. The month was concluded as the Bellville Brahmas made a run all the way to the Class 4A Division II state championship game in Arlington where the Brahmas fell short to Gilmer 28-26.

United Soccer Coaches name Blinn’s Garcia to NJCAA Division I All-America team

Blinn College forward David Garcia continues to reap the rewards of a tremendous sophomore season. Following a historic campaign for the Buccaneer men’s soccer team, Garcia has been named to the 2023 United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division I Men’s All-America team.

It may not have ended the way the Bellville fans had hoped but it sure was a ride that all will remember. Bellville dropped a 28-26 decision to Gilmer in the Class 4A Division II state championship game in Arlington last Friday but that doesn’t mean the future is not bright for the Brahma football program.

Relentless defense sets tone in No. 19 Blinn’s home win over Ranger

Strong defense continued to pave the way to victory for the 19th-ranked Blinn College women’s basketball team on Saturday. The Buccaneers limited the visiting Ranger College Rangers to just 12 first-half points and maintained their defensive momentum in the second half en route to a 64-36 victory at the Kruse Center in Brenham, Texas.
