As Sealy headed into last week’s baseball schedule, the Tigers had a loaded week staring them right in the face. Sealy had a road contest with Bellville, a home contest with Navasota, road contest with Needville and home contest with the Tomball Kings sitting on their agenda.

Sealy senior Jasmyne Joiner is taking the next step in her volleyball career as she has inked a college letter of intent to play volleyball at Wharton Junior College. “She has grown so much as a volleyball player since meeting her in eighth grade,” said Sealy Head Volleyball Coach Kim Boyd.

While the season ended sooner than they had hoped for, the Sealy Tigers still managed to capture two individual honors and place five players on the District 20-4A all-district teams. Leading the way for Sealy was senior Amador Lopez, who was named Utility Player of the Year.

Lady Tigers soccer places seven on all-district teams The Sealy Lady Tigers dominated the District 20-4A all district honors as were announced at season’s end. The Lady Tigers captured three of the individual honors and placed seven players on the first and second team all-district teams.

The Sealy High School varsity and junior varsity competed in the district tournament with one single and two doubles teams placing in the tournament. • Seth Pine: 3rd Place Boys Singles (alternate to Regional Tournament) • Conner Vesely/Nikolas Young: 4th Place Boys doubles • Colby Eschenburg/ Emmy McDaniel: 4th Place mixed doubles Boys Singles SETH PINE: • 1st Round: Seeded 4th with a Bye for first round.

The Bellville boys and girls team came away with the District 20 golf district titles during the tournament held last week. Bellville’s Cooper Hollomon came away with a first-place finish in the boys’ division while Deacon Bauerachlag placed second.

While the finish was not what Sealy Head Girls Volleyball Coach Syndey Jones had hoped for, she can only look back at this historic season for her Lady Tigers and their accomplishments and know this team left its imprint on the program. Sealy was eliminated from the soccer playoffs by Little Cypress-Mauriceville 3-0 last Friday night in Crosby.
