Ten members from the Austin County 4-H Rifle Team helped kick off the Fort Bend County Fair and Rodeo by participating in their 1st Annual Rifle Invitational. This weekend match culminated with an awards ceremony on Sept.
The Sealy Lady Tigers moved to 3-1 in District 25-4A play with a sweeping victory over Navasota last Friday night at home. The Lady Tigers made easy work of Navasota sweeping to a win over their district foe.
It might not be a must-win game but for the Sealy Tiger football program, it would be great to get back into the win column this week. Sealy returns home this Friday to take on Brookshire Royal in a District 10-4A matchup.
This one stung a little. Sealy started off strong, but penalties and a key injury allowed West Columbia to claim a vital 24-15 victory over the Tigers in the District 10-4A opener for both squads last Friday night.
The Brazos Cougars cross country team competed in the Coach Ed Invitational Cross Country Meet Saturday in Sealy. Individually, in the varsity girls’ race, Lily Bertrand finished 33rd, Stephaniah Phillips placed 37th, and Hannah Gonzalez was 48th.
The Sealy Girls cross country team captured second place while the boys placed fourth in the Coach Ed Cross Country meet held Saturday at Sealy High School. This is the fourth year Sealy has hosted the event to honor the memory and contributions of Ed Marcinkiewicz to the Sealy cross country program.
