Mighty Pickles rule over Fall League ball

The champions of the Fall 2023 Sealy Little League are The Mighty Pickles, who captured the season title with a 5-1-2 record. The team was coached by Mike Kovar and Will Smith and players included Connor, Stone, Brody, Cayden, Austin, Jamison, Izzy, Jaxson, Michael and Ennis. Sealy faces must-win situation in Sweeny Friday

In the past, when Sealy and Sweeny matched up on the football field, a big game was in store for all the fans attending. But in recent years, the Bulldogs lost a bit of their bite but with new coach Jay Seibert at the helm, Sweeny has returned to a bit of its past glory this season.

Faith Knights battle but fall 79-75

The Faith Academy Knights hosted Waco Vanguard Friday night for their Pink-out game. “It was one of the best, hard-fought games of the year,” said Faith Academy Head Football Coach Trey Carter.

Brazos still eyeing playoff berth

Brazos will be looking to get back into the win column in district play when the Cougars travel to take on winless Danbury this Friday night. Standing at 1-3 in District 14-3A play, the Cougars still have a shot at a playoff berth this season.
Lady Tigers prep for playoffs with split of district tilts

For the second time this season, Sealy took on second-place Needville and battled the Lady Bluejays until the final set before dropped a 3-1 decision. Needville took the first set 25-23 but Sealy came right back with a roaring 26-24 victory in the second set.
Sealy drops match with Bellville

The Sealy Lady Tigers fell to Bellville in straight sets last Friday night at home. Sealy battled hard throughout the match but came up just short against the highly regarded Bellville squad. Sealy fell to 6-3 in District 25-4A play and sit firmly in third place in district behind Bellville and Needville. Sealy traveled to Navasota for a district contest Tuesday night. The results were not available at press time. Sealy will host their final home game Friday against Needville before closing out the season next Tuesday against Brookshire Royal.
