The Sealy Lady Tigers kicked off the District 25-4A basketball season with a 45-27 win over Wharton last week. The victory moved Sealy to 1-0 in district play while Wharton fell to 0-1 in district action.
Bellville’s future bright with several key players returning next year

It may not have ended the way the Bellville fans had hoped but it sure was a ride that all will remember. Bellville dropped a 28-26 decision to Gilmer in the Class 4A Division II state championship game in Arlington last Friday but that doesn’t mean the future is not bright for the Brahma football program.
Relentless defense sets tone in No. 19 Blinn’s home win over Ranger

Strong defense continued to pave the way to victory for the 19th-ranked Blinn College women’s basketball team on Saturday. The Buccaneers limited the visiting Ranger College Rangers to just 12 first-half points and maintained their defensive momentum in the second half en route to a 64-36 victory at the Kruse Center in Brenham, Texas.

Tigers look strong at Schulenburg tourney

The Sealy Tigers participated in the storied Schulenburg tournament last weekend and came away with a strong 3-1 finish in tourney games. Sealy started the tournament with a 62-29 loss to La Vernia.
Lady Tigers look strong at Brazos Shootout tourney

The Sealy Lady Tigers followed up their strong performance at the Ganado Tournament last week as they traveled to take part in the Brazos River Shootout at Brazos High School. Sealy dropped the opening game of the tourney against Boling.

The Sealy Lady Tigers were on the road Thursday Dec. 7 to Giddings for some basketball action.
Faith Academy sends four to TAIAO All-Star game

On Dec. 2, four Faith Academy Knights travelled to Allen Academy in Bryan for the TAIAO All-Star game. In this game, the players are voted on by other coaches in the league, who they think are the best players. Senior Luke Wicklein, junior Travis Woodley, Sophomore Jackson Dunn and Sophomore Christian Pillow were voted to compete. Also, senior Noah Figueroa was voted to play but couldn’t attend.
