Faith Academy took on BVCHEA homeschool on Tuesday in baseball action and dropped a 4-3 decision. Christian Pillow started on the mound for the Knights.

The Faith Academy Knights ran in their final track meet of the regular season on Friday, April 5, at Ft. Bend Christian Academy in Sugarland. The competition was visible in all the events. Twenty private schools were in attendance.

Sealy hosted the District 25-4A track and field meet April 3-4 and came away with strong performances with both the girls’ and boys’ teams. The Sealy girls’ varsity repeated as district champs with a first-place finish at the meet.

Sealy remained tied for second place in District 25-4A with a 7-2 record after claiming wins over Royal and Bellville last week. Sealy is tied with El Campo for second place in district behind leader Needville.

Tigers’ playoff run comes to a halt in gut-wrenching fashion The beautiful game can be so, so cruel to those that Lady Luck decides not to favor. Audible gasps were heard coming from Sealy’s section of the crowd last Friday afternoon, March 28, as the Tigers lost 1-0 in the final five seconds of the game to the Hargrave Falcons in the second round of the division 4A UIL Texas Boys State Championship playoffs.

Even Superman had his kryptonite. The Lady Tigers stellar campaign this year came to what felt like an early end after Sealy’s girls bowed out in in the second round of the division 4A UIL Texas Girls’ State Championship playoffs March 28, losing in a 4-2 thriller to the only team to beat them all season beforehand, the Vidor Pirates.

Brazos golf takes second at Rice tourney

The FAB Knights took on Cristo Rey on Tuesday and came away with a 7-3 victory. Travis Woodley got the win on the mound by a score of 7-3.

The Sealy Lady Tigers fell to 6-2 in District 25-4A play after suffering an 11-6 loss to El Campo last Thursday on the road. The loss leaves Sealy in a second-place tie with El Campo but still firmly in position to earn a playoff berth this season.

The Sealy Tigers baseball program has taken its lumps this season but has reeled off a pair of district wins to move to 2-6 in district play as last week closed out. With six games left in the district season, the Tigers are not completely out of the playoff hunt as this young team is starting to jell as a unit.
