Rosa Marie Kitchen George was born January 22, 1933, in Hallettsville, Texas to Benjamin Clyde Kitchen and Laura Brochet Kitchen. She died peacefully at her home on February 3, 2022, after a brief illness.

She is survived by her sister, Lora Mae McCarthy, and brother-in-law, Michael McCarthy, and stepchildren, Thomas H. George III, Richard L. George and wife Jan, and Barbara L. George Sence, five granddaughters, two greatgrandchildren and her nieces and nephews and their spouses.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas H. George, Jr., and her brothers Edgar Kitchen and Anthony Kitchen.

Pallbearers were Tim McCarthy, Skyler McCarthy, Pete Simons, Jack Baliker, Mark Zama, Tom Huttenhoff.

Marie has requested no flowers and asks that instead they be sent to someone you love.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 9, at Immaculate Conception Church in Sealy, Texas. Visitation began at noon, with the Rosary at 12:30 p.m., Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. and graveside services immediately following.

Mike and Lora McCarthy invited guests to join them after the services for a reception at their home at 406 Seventh Street in Sealy.
