Robert Lee Strauss, 86, of Sealy passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, in Bellville surrounded by his loving family. Services were held Saturday, February 12, 2022.

Bobby was born on April 10, 1935, in Sealy to parents Robert H. and Mary L. (Thomsen) Strauss. Bobby attended grade school at Rexville Country School and graduated from Sealy High School. On March 25, 1956, he married the love of his life, Miss Betty Jo Peters, and were married for 52 years and raised three children.

Bobby loved to go deer hunting and bird hunting. He enjoyed taking his children with him on his hunting trips.

Bobby never met a stranger. He would talk to a stranger like he had known them his whole life. He always loved to laugh and make people laugh. He worked at Cameron Iron Works for 41 years and was a volunteer fireman for 30 years. Bobby is survived

Bobby is survived by his daughters Patsy Anders, and husband James of Weimar, and Peggy Strauss of Sealy, and son Perry Strauss and wife Frances of Sealy. Grandchildren Clint Anders and wife Sophie, Jamie Lindsey and husband Garrett, and Ryan Strauss. Also, numerous nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Jo Strauss, parents Robert and Mary Strauss, and twin grandsons Kurt and Jake Anders.
