Mary was married to Larkin M. Buechmann on February 19, 1972. She leaves behind her husband, Larkin, son Johnathan, daughter Carol Boyd and husband David, son Benjamin and wife Tasha, and son Daniel and wife Kate. Mary had 7 grandchildren, Gaby Webb, Brandon Boyd, Jacob Boyd, Tyler Boyd, Aubrey Buechmann, Gus Buechmann, and Shirley Buechmann.

Mary wished to be cremated and there were no services.

Mary passed away on February 1, 2022, following a long battle with esophageal cancer.
