1945- 2023

On May 22, Loren “Mike” Weber, an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend went home to heaven at the age of 78 years. Mike was born February 1945 in Graham, and was the eldest brother of his six siblings. Mike moved to Sealy with his family in his 8th grade year where he first met Becky.

Friends all through school, they married in 1964 and had two sons Brian and Scott. As a husband, he adored his wife of 58 years. He considered Becky to be his best friend with which he trusted everything. As a father, Mike worked diligently to take care of his family and teach his boys about working hard and ensure that all tasks were executed to their highest ability. He always strived for the best for everyone he crossed paths with and wanted the same for his children.

Mike was known as “Paw Paw” to his five grandchildren: Tim, Chance, Ashley, Tad, and Brittany. To them, he was a solid foundation in their childhood; always steady, present, and supportive in all that they journeyed throughout their lives. He was a (Great) Paw Paw to his four great grandchildren as well who loved him dearly. He also had an incredibly close relationship with his daughter- in-law, Suzanne, who he loved as his daughter.

Mike was always dedicated to his work. Most of his work life was in the automotive industry. He worked at an early age in local service stations pumping gas and wiping windshields. He finally worked for major tire stores and eventually had his own PAR Auto, and then Discount Warehouse in Sealy selling parts and repairing vehicles. For the last 24 years he worked successfully in the land development industry.

Throughout his career, regardless of where he worked, he made lifelong relationships through trust and loyalty. Mike also had a passion for watching and discussing sports that was known by all. The first-place plaques hanging in the den were always a good indicator of what a pool shark he was. It would be hard to find someone out there who doesn’t have a story about Mike Weber and a pool table. Perhaps more than all of tthat, however, Mike had a love for investing in others. Whether it was training and teaching employees, or giving his friends and family advice, he was always around to aid and support loved ones in their growth in life.

Mike was known for his infectious smile and rich laughter. He had an incredibly witty and sarcastic sense of humor and overwhelming compassion for helping others. Many knew him for his ability to always know what questions needed to be asked; to find the right solution to any problem. Mike leaves behind a family that has grown strong because of his presence in their life. In lieu of flowers or gifts we instead ask that donations be made to San Felipe Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held June 6th, 2023, at San Felipe Methodist Church at 201 Vicaro Guerero, Sealy, 77474 at 2 p.m.
