Debra Cecilia Lezak Haidusek was born on January 22, 1955 in Bellville, Texas to Bob and Madine (Krancher) Lezak. She was baptized in Frydek at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Deb attended Frydek Catholic School, Frydek Public School and Sealy High School where she graduated in 1972. She worked for Shell Oil Company for 22 years. On July 2, 1977, Deb was joined in marriage to Patrick “Rick” Haidusek.

Deb’s faith was very important to her, and she was a devote member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she served as a lector and led the rosary before mass. After her career with Shell, she found her true calling in life. Deb loved helping other people more than anything else, it did not matter who you were and whether it was as simple as running errands, going to grocery store, doctor’s appointment, working in their garden, lending an ear or being by their side when the Lord called them up. She was one of a kind and had a very caring and giving heart!

Everyone will remember Deb as vibrant, full of life and always talking about something. Whenever her and best friend Michelle Ladd got together you were lucky to get a word in edgewise. Deb passed away on August 1, 2022, following a yearlong battle with pancreatic cancer. Her family and friends will miss her tremendously, but we all feel a sense of comfort knowing she is at peace with the Lord and all the lifelong memories will live forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her husband Rick; sons Clayton Haidusek and wife Kristin, Caleb Haidusek and wife Ashley; brother Tim Lezak, nephew Tyler Lezak, granddaughter; Kallie Haidusek and grandsons Camden, Connor, Creed, Liam and Carter Haidusek.

Deb loved her family dearly and treasured every moment spent with them, she enjoyed nothing more than when the family gathered at their house for Sunday dinner which usually included her homemade chicken noodle soup or spending time at Rancho Not So Grande, the family place in the Hill Country. She was not your typical grandma; she was the greatest “GoGo” in the world. She also enjoyed collecting crosses and religious items, her display of such is unmatched.

She is preceded in death by her father, Bob Lezak, mother, Madine Lezak, sister, Beverly Koym and father in-law Edwin Haidusek and mother in-law Frances Haidusek. Deb lived her life to the fullest and was the kind of friend a friend would like to have! Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel, Sealy Tx.
