Danny Alton Nichols, age 59, passed away on June 24, 2022.

Danny was born on April 23, 1963, in Bellville, Texas to parents Thomas Murrell and Billie Jean Nichols. He attended Bellville ISD and graduated from Bellville High School in 1981. He married Kimberly Holtkamp in Sealy, Texas on March 11, 1989, at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Danny was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time out at “The River.” He has been a proud member of the oil and gas industry since 1985, and often could be found riding with his dog on the back of the truck on a Friday afternoon.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kim, his daughter, Erin, son and daughter-in-law, Bradley and Riley, and granddaughter Avery; parents Thomas Murrell and Billie Jean Nichols; brother and sister-in-law Ronney and Tracey Nichols; sister and brother-in-law Nancy and David Conway; and brother-in-law and wife Jeff and Deanna Holtkamp. Other survivors include nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends and family.

Visitation services were on Tuesday, June 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. followed by the Rosary. Funeral services were on Wednesday, June 29 at 10 a.m. all at Knesek Funeral Home in Bellville. Burial followed at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery.

The family would like to acknowledge the Knights of Columbus Council 6950 for all their support during this time.
