Blanche Ivy “Bennie,” daughter of Ben Ross and Frances Verm, was born in Sealy, Texas on September 10, 1942. She had two siblings, Harold Ross and Jane Fuller. She was a Sealy High School Graduate, and on May 8, 1965, she married the love of her life, Truett Wayne “Hap” Ivy. Blanche was a wonderful housewife for many years raising their 5 children. She later had a few jobs throughout her life. She worked at the Sealy Hospital, Chevron and Monier Lifetile where her 20 years of service made her many friends and colleagues. She really enjoyed the people she met and worked with.

In 1974 she dedicated her life to Christ and never turned back. Since that time, she has tried to reach as many for Christ as she could by loving and praying for them. She was a hugger and really loved giving and receiving them. That was one of her greatest joys. She never met a stranger. She was always so outgoing and always sharing about her God to anyone she came in contact with. She was a very loving and caring person. She will definitely be missed by all that knew her. She loved her All Around Cowboy Church family and after she moved to Cleveland to live with her daughter, she really missed them all very much. She watched the service every week and she loved when she got to go home to see her Church family and friends. She really appreciated and loved each and every one of you.

Blanche was preceded in death by her parents Ben Ross and Frances Verm, her husband of 35 years, Truett Wayne (Hap) Ivy, and her siblings Harold Ross and Jane Fuller.

She is survived by her five children: Clifton Brast and wife Melissa, Shelia White and husband Allan, Cheryl Rooth and Dale Mizell, Willie Ivy, Otis Ivy and wife Theresa. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren: Ashley Gonzales and husband John, Stephanie Horne and husband Robert, Christopher, Thomas, and Benjamin Brast, April Contrares and husband Eusbio, Bryant Kutra and wife Heather, Kristen Scott and husband Charlie, Ashley McCoy and Willie Ivy.
