Annie Ruth Necker, or Ruth, of Brenham, went to celebrate with the Angels Friday, January 20, 2023. She was born in McGregor, Texas at home on February 12, 1932, Abraham Lincolns birthday. She is survived by Sisters, Aileen (Lawrence) Lumpkin of China Spring; Wilda Hurst of Waco; Jeanette Bone of Whitney. Sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Hodde of Houston. Six of her eight children. Rev. Ed Necker, Jr (Lisa) of Horseshoe Bay; Cheryl (Tim) Garner of Chappell Hill; Mary (Tommy) Sheehan of Brenham; Dorcas (Ronald Douglas) Schroeder of Brenham; Debbie (Ray) Morgan of Springfield, MO; Becky (David) Byers of Washington, Tx. Daughter in law, Rosie Necker of Sealy, Tx. Grandchildren Bobby Necker, Emily Necker; Amanda Curtis; Patrick Skweres; Mark Zeitzmann; Nikki Zeitzmann, Christina Zeitzmann; Dallas Sheehan, Patricia Calandra; Sarah Cambell; Tim Necker; Ryan D. Schroeder; Collin D. Schroeder; Darin Morgan; Brandi Greenes; Tiffany Byers; Waylon Byers. 28 Great-Grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Special Caregiver Michele Pacheco.

She is preceded in death by husband, Edward Necker, Sr., Parents Faye Naylor Stanford and Franklin Adolphus Stanford; In laws, California Siegert Necker and Herbert Necker. brothers Jeff Stanford, John (Jackie) Stanford; James (Mildred) Stanford; Norris Stanford; Sisters Louise Stanford (David Baer); Mildred Stanford; Dorsey Roush; Brothers in law, Tom Hurst; Charlie Bone; Lawrence Hodde. Sisters in law Ruth (Johnny)Villeneuve; Dot (Bill) Hutchens; Shirley (Perry) Phillips. Sons, Paul Necker, John Mark Necker.

Visitation is 12 – 1 p.m. at Cowboy Church of Brenham on Saturday, 2/11/23 with A Celebration of a Life Well Lived to follow at 1pm with Brother Darren Donaldson officiating (4400-TX Highway 105, Brenham, TX 77833); with a meal to follow.

Ruth a 1953 graduate of Baylor, met her husband while doing her student teaching at Raccoon Bend near Bellville. They lived in Sealy, Columbus, Bellville, Peters, Cat Spring, New Ulm, Katy, Frelsburg and other places in Texas. She was active in the WMU, Retired Teachers Association of Austin County, William Penn Home Extension Club, Hospice Volunteer, Volunteer at Sr Citizens Thrift Shop in Brenham, Cat Spring Volunteer Fire Department. She taught first grade in Sealy and Columbus; and was a Special Ed teacher in Bellville, Tx.

She taught us to Love the Lord Jesus Christ, Reading, and visiting the shut-ins at the nursing homes.
