Average gasoline prices in Texas have fallen 11.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.71/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 13,114 stations in Texas. Prices in Texas are 43.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 20.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 13.6 cents in the last week and stands at $5.06 per gallon.

The Cat Spring Volunteer Fire Department will replace an unreliable pumper truck with a newer model to enhance the department’s emergency response capabilities, thanks to a $25,000 grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority.

The Tiger Stage Company of Sealy High School is presenting the heartwarming comedy, Over the River and Through the Woods. The show opens on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. The show continues with shows on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 2 and 5 p.m. Tickets are $7.00 and may be purchased in the lobby prior to the performance.
