Brazos High School’s Elijah Arnaut had a great day of LD debate at the Needville UIL tournament. He ended the day with a 3-1 record after he got eliminated in the octofinals.
The Brazos FFA and Agricultural Science teams competed at the Bell County Youth Fair last week. The following are the placings from the teams: Vet Science 2nd Place (Cheyenne Michalsky, Denise Hauer, Kady Schneider and Elliot Harnage), Cheyenne Michalsky 2nd High Individual; Wool Judging 3rd Place (Sophia Vykukal, Jackson Vykukal, Maggie Richardson, Blair Warren, and McKenna Stroud), Sophia, 3rd High Individual, Jackson Vykukal 4th High Individual; Livestock Judging (Saley Speckmaier, Ariel Chaney, Jeffrey Offord and Reid Warr).
The Brazos High School debate team earned their ticket to the state CX debate tournament. Kade Vasquez and Hayden Smith placed 3rd at district and will be the state alternate. Fabian Castillo and Alexandria Taylor placed 1st. The state tournament is during spring break.

Austin County...Walk Across Texas has started — let the movement begin. Angel Martinez participates in the Walk Across Texas event held last year in Austin County. Walk Across Texas officially started Jan. 28. This eight-week program is an excellent way to get fit and mobile. Students, teachers, and their families will be challenged to move and become more active each week. Over the next eight weeks, healthy habits will be formed which could potentially increase quality of life and a healthier lifestyle. This program allows fun and fitness to unite.
