The contracts have been signed, the keys were transferred and The Sealy News has officially moved into its new office at 327 Fowlkes Street in downtown Sealy after 25 years on Schmidt Road.

The paper will continue printing Thursday papers every week and readers can still call the same number (979-885-3562) or reach out to the existing emails to contact News representatives. The mailing address (PO Box 480) also remains the same.

“The Sealy News has been a staple in the community and we are proud to continue that tradition more than 134 years later,” Executive Publisher Karen Lopez said. “Be sure to come by next week and visit us at our new location and help welcome us to the neighborhood!”

The new News office will be on the corner of Fowlkes and Fourth Streets, next to First Texas Home Health and across the street from Bill’s Country Market.

“We are very excited to settle into our new, centralized location in the heart of downtown Sealy and continue providing quality coverage from around Austin County,” General Manager Amy Lieb said. “We look forward to joining the downtown district and bolster our existing partnerships while branching out and establishing new partnerships with nearby businesses.”
