According to information from Sealy Police Department, Interstate 10 mainlaines are scheduled for closure tonight, Thursday, Sept. 1, at 7:00 p.m., until Friday, Sept. 2, at 5:00 a.m. between Chew and Mlcak Roads.

The purpose of the closure is to remove the Mlcak overpass bridge spanning over IH10.

"Westbound traffic will be detoured off the main lanes at the Chew Rd Exit, travel along the current WBFR, and reenter using the Entrance Ramp just east of FM 1458," SPD's Wednesday statement says. "Eastbound traffic will be detoured off the main lanes at the FM 1458 Exit, travel along the current EBFR, and reenter using the Entrance Ramp just west of Chew Rd."
