Election results for key races among Austin County candidates have come in, although still unofficial, with 15 of 15 precincts reporting.

The same three candidates in the Wallis City Council election have come out on top as in early voting, although the ranking changed. Joell Prado finished with the most votes at 165. James King ended up with 159 votes, and Clark Main, Jr. received 155. In this race six candidates were competing for three seats.

Daniel Dronburger (133 votes), Daniel Martinez (128 votes), and Adam Krol (124) remained in the bottom three spots after polls closed tonight.

Incumbent Ryan Reichardt has won the Position 5 race for the Sealy Independent School District with 464 ballots cast for him, compared to 268 for Ralph Bond.

Jessica Gordon will hold Position 6 in the Bellville Independent School District with her 947 votes. Mimi Rettig received 487. Heather Novicke also stayed ahead of Andrew Murrell in the Position 7 race in that district, with 870 votes to 601 votes. Kenneth Stein received a total of 1,237 votes for Position 5.

Both proposed amendments to the Texas State Constitution have been unofficially passed by voters, and all five of the propositions on the ballot for Sealy voters have also passed.

Derrick D. Dabney, Michael Elliott, and Alfred Hall are the winners of the three Alderman seats on the San Felipe Town Council. Five candidates were in the running. Dabney received 117 votes, Elliott received 113, and Hall received 109. 63 ballots were cast for candidate Kent McAllister, and 50 were cast for Andra Ellis in this race.

Numbers for the Bellville City Council election have also been received. Alderman Position 1 will be held by Betty Hollon, who received 216 total votes. Wayne Browning received 181 votes, and Dallas Bozich received 4 votes in that race.

Ashley Slater overcame Robert "Bob" Hancock in the race for Alderman Position 3, with 201 votes to 194 votes. Alderman Position 5 Garrett Dornon received 269 total votes.

More in-depth coverage of election results will be included in the May 12, 2022, edition of The Sealy News.
