The television show “Killer Siblings” on the Oxygen Network plans to air an episode at 7 p.m. Jan. 14 featuring the Austin County murder of Dr. J. Mario Gonzalez and subsequent prosecution of his killers.

The episode, titled “Galvan Cernas,” includes documentary evidence from the investigation, as well as interviews with Austin County District Attorney Travis Koehn, his First Assistant District Attorney Brandy Robinson, Bellville Police Officer Chris Rosales and The Sealy News Executive Publisher Karen Lopez.

Dr. Gonzalez was murdered at his home near Bellville Aug. 22, 2009. Cristobal Galvan-Cerna, Moises Galvan-Cerna, Noel Galvan-Cerna and Misael Santollo were arrested for the crime after an extensive investigation and manhunt that involved the Austin County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Rangers, Bellville Police Department, Sealy Police Department, Houston Police Department, Austin Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety.

District Attorney Travis Koehn called in then-Assistant Attorney General Wes Mau to assist Koehn and Robinson with the complex prosecution and two subsequent trials. Mau currently serves as the elected District Attorney of Hays County.

Cristobal Galvan-Cerna and Noel Galvan-Cerna pled not guilty and chose to go to trial. Austin County juries found both men guilty of Capital Murder, and they were sentenced to Life without Parole. Misael Santollo pled guilty for his part in the murder, testified in the trial of his cousin Noel Galvan Cerna and was sentenced to 38 years in prison. Moises Galvan-Cerna also pled guilty to Murder and received a 50-year sentence.
