Both Sealy Tiger track teams earned first place at the Area Championship hosted at T.J. Mills Stadium last Wednesday. Sealy athletes earned 10 gold medals and qualified for 37 events in the Regional Championship this weekend at Challenger Columbia Stadium in Webster.

Similarly, both teams had athletes finish first in three running events (the 800-, 1600- and 3200-meter runs), the 4x400-meter relay and a field event. 27 more athletes registered a finish inside the top four to punch a ticket to the next round and represent the Tigers on the regional stage where only the top two and a wild card will advance to state.
