The Austin County Fair Association announced it will be hosting the annual Shrimp Boil Friday, July 16, at the AC Fairground and Expo Center.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. where all-you-can-eat boiled shrimp with sausage, potatoes and corn, and draft beer will be served from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Throughout the night, there will be a silent auction, a dessert auction and the presentation of the 2021 Entertainment Lineup for this year’s Austin County Fair.

In 1992, a couple of Directors had the idea of offering scholarships from the Fair in honor of deceased Directors and their spouses. It is only through the years of support of this Shrimp Boil and the Austin County Fair that allowed awarding 21 scholarships in the amount of $55,500 to 2021 graduating Austin County high school seniors even though we did not have a ticketed fair in 2020. That brings Austin County Fair awarded schol arships in excess of $895,000 over the last 29 years!

Tickets for the Shrimp Boil will be sold in tables of eight for $360 and may be purchased at the Fair Office or from any Austin County Fair Director as well as First National Bank in Bellville and Austin County State Bank and Citizens State Bank in Sealy. You can also purchase your Shrimp Boil tickets online by going to Austincountyfair.com.

Gather up your friends and family to purchase a table and support the youth of Austin County while enjoying some great food and community.

For additional information, please call the Fair Office at 979-865-5995 or go to the website at Austincountyfair.com.
