Survive and advance. That’s the motto that Sealy’s girl’s track and field team has adopted this year and put that to good use last week at the area meet held in Bay City.

The girls track team competed in the District 23 & 24 3A Area Track Meet on Wednesday, April 19 at Coldspring- Oakhurst High School. The varsity girls’ team finished in 10th place with 26 points.

Despite almost being canceled, the Guns & Hoses tournament was held on April 8, successfully raising vital funds for CASA for Kids. The annual event fosters friendly competition between law enforcement officers and firefighters, and more than 160 participants braved the cold weather to attend the 5K/10K race, demonstrating their invaluable support for the cause.
