Brazos B.U.D.S. had a long week at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. The group had students compete in Texas Tables, Rodeo Cup and Container Plants. The highlight of the day was Sophia Vykukal with Reserve Champion Rodeo Cup.Texas Tables: Sophia Vykukal, Rylea Roecker, Trinity Melnar. Last week was the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Nursery/Landscape and Floriculture Judging Contests.
The Landscape team was the Grand Champion Team.
Layne Malinowski was the 3rd high individual, Levi Malinowski was the 5th high individual, Matthew Wybro was the 6th high individual, and James Haisler was the 18th high individual.
The Floriculture team was the 3rd High Place Team out of 93 teams today.
Brazos FFA officially ended San Antonio Expo last week with Luke Vykukal exhibiting his tractor restoration project and earning a blue ribbon, and the livestock team competing as well. Now the group is competing at Rodeo Houston.
Sealy FFA kicked off San Antonio Livestock Expo with the Swine skillathon. Kenna Schram won champion senior and earns a $10,000 scholarship. Ainsley Oliver placed 9th in the Intermediate Division and Vincent Perez competed in his first SA skillathon.
The Sealy FFA Ag Mechanics Show Team competed at the San Angelo Stock Show to exhibit their 12’ Utility Trailer receiving a Blue ribbon for their project. Congratulations to Anthony Venegas, Rafael Gomez, J Rodriguez, and David Saldua.
